Know how PowderQuote works before you install.
Product, privacy, trial, billing, and device questions in one place.
Product and data
What the app does and where information is stored.
What does PowderQuote calculate?
PowderQuote reads supported DXF geometry, calculates coating area, applies your configured commercial rules, and creates a professional PDF quotation.
Where are my DXF files and quotations stored?
On your Windows computer. The server does not store DXF files, customers, prices, PDF quotations, or quotation history.
Does PowderQuote replace my pricing judgement?
No. You configure the rates and rules. PowderQuote helps apply them consistently and reduces repetitive calculation and document work.
Trial and access
How the free evaluation and license checks work.
How long is the free trial?
All features are available free for 30 days. No payment card is required to start.
Do I need a card to start the trial?
No. Create an account, install the application, and sign in to activate the trial.
What happens when the trial ends?
The PDF & DXF calculator remains available for free. You can continue importing drawings, calculating coating area, and applying your pricing rules. An active subscription is required only to create professional quotation PDFs. Your local data is not deleted.
Is an internet connection always required?
Internet is required for sign-in, activation, and license checks. Quotation files and production data remain local rather than being processed in the cloud.
Billing
Payments, taxes, invoices, and cancellation.
Who handles the payment?
Paddle handles secure checkout, payment processing, applicable sales taxes, invoices, and recurring billing as merchant of record.
Can I cancel the subscription?
Yes. Subscription management will be available through Paddle and the PowderQuote account flow before public launch. Cancellation does not delete your locally stored quotation data.
How are refunds handled?
Refund requests are reviewed under the published refund policy and applicable consumer law. Paddle processes the payment and approved refund.
Devices and installation
Computer limits, reinstallations, and updates.
How many computers can I use?
The current plan allows up to 2 active computers. An old computer can be deactivated before a replacement is registered.
Which Windows versions are supported?
The planned public release supports 64-bit Windows 10 and Windows 11.
