PowderQuote help

Frequently asked questions.

01

Online calculator

How drawings are analyzed and selected.

Can PowderQuote calculate area from DXF?

Yes. Upload the DXF, zoom if needed, and click the closed areas that must be included. Multiple areas can be selected quickly and the server verifies the final selected area before saving.

How do PDF drawings work?

PowderQuote supports multi-page PDF drawings. Choose the correct page, select or enter the drawing scale such as 1:1 or 1:2, zoom and move around the preview, then click the required closed areas.

Are uploaded drawings stored permanently?

No. The original PDF or DXF is stored temporarily while the active drawing workspace is used. It is not attached to the saved quotation and is automatically removed after expiration or replacement.

What is saved after a calculation?

The quotation record can store customer, part, color, selected area, painted sides, rates, masking, currency, total, source filename, and company settings used for the PDF. The original drawing is not saved with it.

Does PowderQuote decide my price?

No. You configure and verify your rates, minimum price, masking, rounding, and commercial conditions. PowderQuote applies those values consistently.

What can I do in Quotes?

You can search by customer, part, or quotation number, filter by date, open, edit, duplicate, delete, and download the quotation PDF.

Can I back up my data?

Yes. The Download backup button creates a private ZIP containing a spreadsheet-friendly CSV, a complete JSON export, and the company profile. Original drawings are not included because they are not stored.

Can another user see my quotations?

No. Quotation views, PDFs, edits, deletions, and backups are restricted to the authenticated account that owns the records.
